School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Needed near Durham, CT
Are you looking to step into your next role as a Speech Therapist?We are seeking a highly motivated and passionateSLPto join a school district near Durham, Connecticutfor the current school year.
In this role you will work closely with students to improve their speech and language skills while operating as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Position Details :
- Full-time, open to part-time applicants
- Full School Year
- Caseload : 4th-8th grade, details provided in interview
Responsibilities :
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on each student's individual needs and goals, keeping documentation up to date
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for each student
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops to stay informed of the latest therapy techniques and best practices
Requirements :
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Connecitcuit Speech-Language Pathology License
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
