TextUs is the leading SMS engagement platform for sellers, recruiters, and marketers. We improve pipeline creation and conversion rates by allowing users to have more engaging, message-based conversations with consumers and candidates across their entire journey with the organization.

OVERVIEW

As the leader of the Product team, the VP Product leads the development of product strategy and delivery of features that make TextUs the category leader for SMS engagement and enable the company to meet revenue retention and growth targets.

The VP Product creates these results by carrying out these responsibilities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy : Possesses deep knowledge of email- or SMS-based sales and marketing software used by B2C companies, including in-depth understanding of the competition to set context for product innovation.

Defines product strategy and roadmap working closely with the senior leadership, product, and engineering teams to enable TextUs to extend its leadership among texting.

Authors Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for Product to ensure the company is aware of its strategic objectives for the year / quarter.

Customer / Partner Alignment : Participates in regular meetings with prospects, customers, partners, and GTM teams to gain firsthand knowledge / empathy for our ideal customer profile (ICP) so as to ensure development of highly used / valued features.

Implements and manages sustainable processes to understand customer and partner challenges / requirements and prioritizing product / feature concepts that maximize growth and net retention.

Mines customer satisfaction / NPS data, support tickets, and utilization data as well as meets with dissatisfied customers in order to inform requirements analysis and prioritization.

Oversee the UX Design effort in partnership with Engineering to ensure features are usable and intuitive for our customers so as to maximize NPS and net retention.

Cross-functional Collaboration / Process Management : Works closely with Engineering to co-own a Scrum / Agile-based SDLC process.

Coaches product team to manage their squads in a way that ensures product delivery that balances speed, efficiency, and quality.

Balances the needs of the business with engineering efforts and technical considerations for platform scale and reliability.

Understands the needs of each part of the organization to align the GTM communications / assets to meet those needs including outbound positioning, training, and enablement.

Proactively raises hand when something is not working and collaborates with team to look for solutions

Leadership : Proactively coaches / mentors the Product and UX Design teams to demonstrate a consistent commitment to their career paths and leveling up the team.

Provides guidance and leadership to their peers across the organization to support the growth of the organization as a whole.

Strong direct communicator (excited / dynamic).

WHO YOU ARE

  • Strong product strategist who can maximize product utility and minimize TTM
  • Proven experience and success scaling a consumer-facing SaaS application for a growth stage company
  • Naturally oriented toward building strong relationships with key stakeholders and tight alignment among GTM, Product, and Engineering
  • Confident communicator who is direct, compelling, and empathetic and can excite employees and customers about TextUs products and future direction
  • High user empathy and emphasis on delivering the best value to customers
  • Comfortable getting hands-on to mentor team members, guide product definition / development, and remove roadblocks
  • Proven experience running Scrum / Agile development process and operating within continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) environment
  • Create a team environment where we follow ourcore values, have space to make mistakes / learn from them, and challenge ourselves to improve
  • Excellent skills in the following areas : problem-solving, verbal and written communications, strategic / tactical prioritization, organization / time management, analytics, and attention to detail

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

  • Job Type : Full time
  • Compensation Range : $200,000 - $260,000 base + bonus + equity
  • Location : Remote (US) / Headquartered in Denver, CO
  • Target Start Date : 4-6 weeks from offer date
