Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Advanced Practice Practitioner in Lakewood.

This is a full-time float position that will float between Lakewood, Longmont, Boulder, and Thornton. RMCC is the largest private multi-disciplinary medical practice on Colorado’s Front Range dedicated solely to providing state-of-the-art, comprehensive care for patients with cancer or diseases of the blood.

The RMCC team brings together leading cancer experts in the fields of surgical, medical and radiation oncology, pathology, and palliative care to provide the most comprehensive cancer care possible and an even more cohesive patient experience.

As a member of The US Oncology Network, one of the nation's largest community-based cancer treatment and research networks, RMCC participates in leading-edge clinical trials through US Oncology research, which has helped develop more than 100 FDA-approved cancer therapies.

Salary Range : $100,000-$130,000.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, and certifications as compared to others doing substantially similar work.

While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and employee paid critical illness and accident insurance. Our Advanced Practice Practitioners receive an institutional membership to APSHO and are eligible for up to five days off and up to $2,500.

00 for continuing education each calendar year. Responsibilities Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.

Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient / family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.

Performs procedures and / mentors trains other providers Assesses patient / family needs and provides education. Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.

Consistently incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice. In-depth knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.

Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion. Often provides case management for patients and their families.

Often serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials. Provides palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.

As subject matter expert, promotes / provides staff education Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hours calls Serves as subject matter expert to the community, providing education and resources as needed Likely to supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.

May serve in practice or network-wide APP leadership role May precept APP students Mentors new advanced practice providers.

Other duties as assigned Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.

This position typically requires a minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner and 3-5 years in either in-patient or ambulatory oncology setting.

RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.

AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS) / CPR certification required. OR Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position requires at least one year of experience in either a critical care environment, internal medicine, or oncology.

Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS) / CPR certification required.
