Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Associate

Job details Spherion Staffing has a Warehouse Shipping / Receiving Associate position available for a local client. This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, picking orders, wrapping and strapping pallets, etc.

Qualified candidates must have prior warehouse and forklift experience.

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm currently and 6am-6pm in peak season. Half day Saturdays (6am-12pm) as needed

Pay $20-23 / hour DOE

Responsibilities :

• Ensure the effective processing of shipments to customers. This includes picking stock for orders and following specific order, packaging and shipping instructions
• Verify incoming product to the accompanying paperwork and picking orders
• Unloading and Loading trucks
• Put away stock in appropriate locations by wrapping and strapping pallets
• Use warehouse equipment, including forklift, label making devices, and barcode scanners

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED
• Prior warehouse and forklift experience is required
• Able to work on a small team and exhibits self-initiative
• Able to lift 50# on a frequent basis
• Must be able to withstand cold storage environment for duration of shifts
• Exhibit strong visual accuracy
• Safety glasses are required
• Pre-employment Drug and Criminal Background
