Job Summary
RN Registered Nurse / PACU Recovery Room
Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric surgical patients during the immediate post surgical period.
Nursing care complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital and care is performed in accordance with the standards and practices of the Association of Peri-anesthesia Nurses (ASPAN).
Nursing care utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with medical staff and ancillary personnel when delivering age / developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient. Prepares equipment and assists physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
Critical thinking skills and ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Current Florida RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Minimum of one (1) year Post-operative experience and / or critical care experience
- Effective oral communication skills in the English language
