The Registered Nurse demonstrates clinical knowledge and technical expertise per the RN scope of practice with emphasis in urgent care triaging.
Assess and triage patients based on acuity. Uses well developed assessment and critical thinking skills to deliver all nursing care.
Partners with physicians and other staff triaging patients by phone or in clinic to provide high quality patient care. Educate patient and / or family about diagnostic procedures, medications, and discharge instructions.
Document all treatments given in patients' charts. Document all necessary procedures and supplies used on the patients' encounter form.
Prepare supplies and equipment and assist Providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Performs other department tasks as needed.
Role model and resource for other LVN and Medical Assistant staff. Organizes and maintains clinic equipment and supplies.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge.
The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
RN License issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Must have a minimum of two years of active nursing experience.
Minimum (1) year of Urgent Care or Emergency Room RN experience (within the past two years).
Experienced Urgent Care or Emergency RNs only.
IV and phlebotomy certified.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately-complex problems to develop potential solutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BSN.
- ACLS.
- Urgent Care experience.
- Primary Care experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range : $170,485 - $170,485 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $81.65 - $81.65
