Job Objective :
Assists Store Manager with the store staff; production and sales; store maintenance; customer
development; banking and record keeping procedures. Supports Manager in all day to day
operations of assigned thrift store.

- Supports staff training and super vision as assigned.
- Supports implementation of strategies to meet production and sales goals.
- Assist manager with the store maintenance and appearance of the store with regard to safety,
- Ensures that the store is in compliance with all OSHA and Salvation Army safety and security
policies and procedures.
- Implements customer development and retention plans.
- Assist the manager in recordkeeping and reporting procedures for the store.
- Communicates with the Store Manager regarding all facets of the stores operations keeping them updated and sharing all incidents, concerns and ideas;
and with ARC Department Heads as outlined in training as assigned.
- In conjunction with the store manager works to keep income and expenses within budget parameters.
- Must be available for a flexible schedule to work early shifts, late shifts, and most weekends, in order to observe and provide training to all store employees
- In conjunction with the store manager proactively works to improve the image of The Salvation Army among staff and in the community
- Protects the resources under their supervision
- All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility :
- Supports the training and supervision the store staff.
- Document and provide information requested about direct reports to store manager for a personnel review and corrective action.
- Review and approve time and attendance for store personnel using the current payroll system.
- Checks time logs regularly. Following all current regulations and trainings.
Education & Experience :
High School Degree or Equivalent. 2 years of retail experience, thrift
experience is a plus. Associates Degree a plus.
Certifications :
Valid Driver's License. Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation
