BASIC PURPOSE
To provide accounting and bookeeping services to the Love family members. Job duties will include preparation of financial statements, analytical calculations, and maintenance of accounting workpapers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Preparation of monthly sales tax reports
- Preparation of monthly sales billings and rent billings
- Assist in recording and processing payables and reconciliation of credit card statements
- Assist in recording and processing cash movements between various entities
- Monthly update of family investment spreadsheets
- Preparation of monthly and / or quarterly financials for various entities to include individuals, trusts, partnerships, and private foundations
- Maintain and manage a database of property insurance policies to include policy limits, deductibles, and due dates
- Maintain and manage a database of property taxes on family-owned homes
- Maintain family home basis files and spreadsheets / reconcile to general ledger
- Maintain and manage flow charts associated with family entities
- Organize and help in preparing for and documenting family meetings to include quarterly family planning meetings, and annual family planning and education meeting
- Monthly update of family personal charitable contribution spreadsheet
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Education : High School degree or equivalent required Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Experience : 2+ years’ experience with Loves, an accounting firm, or family office
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Skills : Hard Skills : Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word; experience in Accounting CS Soft Skills : Strong people skills;
- able to maintain professionalism and discretion; conscientious, dependable, detail oriented and self motivated; trustworthy and highly ethical;
strong oral and written communication skills
