This role reports to the Sr. Director of Americas Benefits. Your professional passion is creating best in class communications that make an impactful change on employees awareness, knowledge, and utilization of benefits programs.
You are an out of the box, innovative thinker skilled in marketing and promotional materials, while also being able to write technically complicated benefits information that is truly innovative and delivers an exceptional employee experience- let’s talk.
About You
Basic Qualifications :
Deep knowledge in all employee benefit programs (leave, time off, healthcare, retirement, wellbeing, and more)
Understanding of benefits compliance components
5-7 years of benefits communications experience, working within a benefits team
Ability to audit all benefit communications for accuracy in provisions and content
Executive level presentation skills
Expert level PowerPoint and other communication programming
Understanding of cultural differences globally, and in particular US, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica
Experience with :
communicating through multiple channels (slack, email, mailers, websites, etc.)
digital transformation (AI, Workday Journeys, chatbots, etc.)
modernizing benefits communications (revamping websites as an example)
Have driven enablement for stakeholders through curated communications (people leaders, business leaders, employees, senior leaders)
Find creative ways to communicate all benefits programs to drive engagement and awareness
Accurately interpret benefit provisions and technical benefits compliance components to ensure communications are accurate and technically compliant
Using your benefits knowledge quickly evolve campaigns around a variety of benefit programs
Create and execute a proactive and connected benefits strategy around how we communicate multiple benefit programs that are related, with key moments aligned as part of the overall larger benefits program
Review and work with all benefit vendors on their employee facing communications to ensure alignment with Workday’s benefit communication strategy
Ability to deliver a high volume of benefit communications within condensed timeframe (FAQs, promotions, announcements, workspace content, benefits website content)
Develop and deliver benefit events, including multiple vendors, webinars, onsite events, etc.
Ability to take complex information and turn it into actionable and easy to understand employee communications
Develop and execute strategic internal communications plans and messaging for wellness and employee benefits initiatives in partnership with teams across Workday.
Establish a deep understanding of the employee audience groups channel and tools to effectively and impactfully get messaging across.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications through digital analytics, surveys, and other key performance indicators.
Review and manage existing Benefit content libraries ensure content is current, relevant and available on the most effective technology platform.
Other Qualifications :
Minimum of 7 years of people leadership experience
Proven track record of building high performing teams
Ability to interact effectively with all senior leadership levels
Strong ability to manage horizontally (across multiple functions and company stakeholders) and vertically (up and down)
Ability to roll up information in a concise and informative manner with clear actions
Highly accountable as a leader with the ability to hold team accountable, provide direction and delegation in a positive, professional manner, and ensure follow- through
Process improvement-oriented and ability to make recommendations and decisions confidently
Proven track record in position requiring judgment, interpersonal skills, ability to act independently with an understanding of larger picture and tie to company strategy, with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while being able to inform and seek guidance to ensure alignment

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission / bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
