- Provide direct care and support to patients with medical and psychiatric disorders, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, positioning, transfers and grooming.
- Monitor and document patients' behavior, mental status, and vital signs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow established facility and program specific policies and procedures to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in the implementation and facilitation of individualized care plans, therapeutic activities, daily group programming and other interventions.
- Collaborate with nurses, psychiatrists, pediatricians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to maintain patient and staff safety at all times.
Licensure / Certification :
- Certified Nursing Assistant License in Texas
- SAMA Certified or within (30 days of employment)
- Certified CPR / BLS
