The Advisor Services Technology team is responsible for managing the entirety of our digital products designed specifically for to our Institutional and Independent Advisor clients.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer of Software Development to work in our dynamic and collegiate team.

What you have

• 7+ years of full stack application development experience
• Bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited degree granting college or university is preferred, or equivalent experienceProven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using : Front End Technologies / Concepts : Angular and / or AngularJS, HTML5, CSS / SCSS, web forms, MVC, JSON / XML, Sync / ASync servicesBack End Technologies / Concepts : C#, , SOAP and RESTful API designDatabase Technologies / Concepts : Relational (SQL / Oracle) and Document Based (No-SQL / MongoDB) ArchitecturesEnvironment : Distributed Monolithic and Cloud Based Microservices (Private Cloud / Pivotal Cloud Foundry is strongly differentiating)
• Passion for enterprise-level agile development
• Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies
• Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite is strongly preferred : JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
• Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams
• Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tool

What You'll do :

Collaborate with AST team members in designing and developing technical solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail :

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front end and back end code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, unit test, and support new features
• Proactively identify product / system enhancements which may improve tool appeal, process flow, and overall functionality and performance.
• Lead development of maintenance and enhancement work items, including performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation.
• Champion / ensure adherence to coding, compliance, & security standards (including documenting functionality / recovery solutions).

In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
