Ascend is looking for a full-time, pediatric-passionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to children in the Millbrae / San Bruno area in a school setting! Not interested in a school setting?
We serve kids in various settings, such as home-based, outpatient clinics, and our inclusion preschools. Ascend is a multidisciplinary company that provides Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy to children in the format that suits them best.
We offer mentorship / support and the ability to learn, grow, and make a difference to our school-based team that serves hundreds of kids across CA.
Responsibilities : - Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific needs - Provide therapy sessions to improve clients' speech and language skills - Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to develop comprehensive care plans - Provide guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client's progress and treatment outcomes Requirements : - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program - Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology - Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist preferred - Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Please note that this position may involve case management duties.
