Are you ready to join a nursing unit that places an emphasis on teamwork while delivering specialized care to a neuroscience population?

Look no further than 3G and its distinguished level-4 Epilepsy monitoring Unit (EMU). On 3G, you will hone your skills working with lumbar drains, EMU protocols, telemetry, tracheostomies, gastrostomy tubes, heparin drips, IV antibiotics, and antiepileptics.

• Number of Beds : 24 (11 of those beds are part of the EMU)
• Patient population / typical diagnoses : epilepsy, ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, brain tumors, neuromuscular degenerative disorders, brain aneurysms, and non-epileptic seizures
• Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 4

3G is the proud recipient of the Silver Beacon Award for Excellence and is an integral part of the hospital’s Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Program.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
• Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
• BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
• Exceptions : Individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN will be considered eligible to move to the Nurse Clinician title while matriculating through the Resident program.
