The Behavioral Health Specialist assists in the direct care and management of patients across all age ranges with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of the LPN / RN as directed by the treatment team.
The Behavioral Health Specialist assists with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living within the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patient’s level of growth and development.
Hiring for both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts

Education / Training :
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer bachelor's degree or college courses in health care, mental health, recreational therapy, education, and human growth and development.
Proficiency speaking and writing the English language.
Licensure / Certification :
Current CPR certification (training provided)
Current Handle With Care (HWC) certification (training provided)
Experience :
Prefer one year's experience as a nurse's aide, mental health aide, psych aide, or the equivalent in a rehabilitation, psychiatric, or similar setting.
