POSITION SUMMARY

Manages joint multi-discipline intelligence requirements, resources, and operations throughout the intelligence cycle to support the joint warfighter and national policy makers. POSITION DUTIES

This position is located in Reston, Virginia and is with the Deputy Director for Global Integration / Partner Mission Integration (DDGI / PMI).

The Deputy Director for Global Integration's Partner Mission Integration (PMI) fosters and creates intelligence relationships by overseeing DIAs partner mission integration within the Department of Defense (DoD), IC, international partners, U.

S. academia, and the private sector.

This position serves as the domestic engagements officer and is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading programs and processes to enable PMI to manage and exercise oversight of DIA domestic engagement initiatives working through and with other DIA offices engaged with domestic partners (federal, academic, and industry) to leverage capabilities not available through existing relationships.

This position requires experience or knowledge across DIA offices or disciplines that will support the range of DIAs intelligence activities with assigned partners, providing direct support to the DDGI and advising DIA organizations on processes and public-private organizations with capability to enhance mission outcomes.

Domestic relationship management, maintaining, expanding, and developing new federal, academic, and private sector partnerships, coordinating and supporting Agency Director interaction with domestic partners, and representing DIA at Intelligence Community forums focused on domestic partnerships.

Using knowledge developed on the job to understand government authorities to work with domestic partners, their capabilities and desire to collaborate with DIA.

Identifying individuals and groups in the Agency who should participate in domestic engagement with domestic partners

Coaching and guiding others to effectively engage with domestic partners, managing engagement interactions and evaluating engagement outcomes.

Sharing information on the purpose of the engagement and its relationship to broader DIA goals and priorities.

Synchronizing with other elements of DDGI to engage domestic partners to challenge strategic competitors and collaborate on the most innovative defense intelligence solutions.

Maintaining knowledge about intelligence needs and intelligence innovations to maximize DIAs domestic capabilities.

Providing input to MAG, CBJB, other budgetary process in support of domestic engagement initiatives with public-private sector partners.

Assisting with strategic review and planning of domestic engagement activities, evaluating progress toward objectives and as needed, working with entities in DIA to develop domestic engagement policies and processes to facilitate domestic outreach to specified partners.

Develops and responds to requirements for intelligence operations and participates in teams conducting intelligence operations.

Informs planners and organizational leaders on DoD policies and processes for intelligence operations to foster understanding of mission status and readiness.

Evaluates the use of resources in the execution of intelligence operations and contributes advice to resourcing decisions.

More than one permanent change of station move within a 12-month period is not considered to be in the interest of the government for the purposes of relocation at Government expense.

All DIA employees are subject to world-wide deployment to crisis situations and are subject to geographic relocation in accordance with agency guidelines.

Availability for shift work, extended hours, and travel may be required for this position.

RELOCATION COSTS

Relocation expenses in connection with a permanent change of station may be authorized in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations and at agency discretion.
