Job at a Glance :
As an Electrical Engineer, you will manage the design, implementation, and sustainment of low- to medium-voltage electrical systems that support a variety of assets.
In this role, you will function as the Owner's Technical Representative, working collaboratively across teams to ensure optimal designs, contract documents, and timely execution of projects.
You will be responsible for coordinating design activities, monitoring installations, and ensuring that all work complies with local and state codes and company standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Owner's Technical Representation : Act as the technical representative on projects from concept through construction, collaborating with internal teams to deliver on design and production objectives.
- Project Coordination : Manage the design and development of contract documents, coordinating both in-house and external resources to ensure alignment with project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Technical Review : Review engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with local and state codes and statutes.
Support construction activities by responding to vendor requests and reviewing shop drawings.
- Problem Solving : Conduct site visits to address and resolve technical issues, mitigating potential project delays.
- Relationship Management : Partner with internal teams to develop and maintain company design guidelines, standards, and master specifications, and communicate expectations across all project phases.
Basic Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 6 years of electrical engineering experience in design and implementation.
- Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with California Electrical Code, IEEE low-voltage standards (Brown, Buff, and Red books), and California energy codes (e.g., Title 24).
- Education : BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Design Proficiency : Proven experience in electrical system design, implementation, and sustainment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Professional License : Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing or EIT
- Lighting Design : Experience in lighting design and implementation, with relevant certification.
- Theme Park Engineering : Previous experience in theme park engineering is highly desirable.
- Project Management : Experience in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
