Solarity Credit Union is seeking a fulltime Content Specialist for our Marketing Department. This will be a remote position for applicants within a 4-hour radius from Yakima County, to include Portland, Seattle, and Spokane.

This will be an onsite position at our North 5th Branch in Yakima for Yakima County residents.

The Content Specialist is a key role for the development of written, video, and digital content across email, website, blogs, social media and advertising.

This role is fluent in using various mediums of communication to create compelling content that engages members and prospects toward action, seeking to create a competitive advantage and help drive engagement, sales leads and revenue.

Member-obsessed, this role distills complex information to simple explanations and relays it to a target audience with clear calls to action that are compelling and creative.

As Solarity's resident wordsmith and storyteller, this role produces effective content quickly as part of a fast-paced team environment.

The top candidate will be a self starter and have...

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field preferred. Related technical degree or AA degree that includes coursework in marketing, writing and digital focus may be substituted.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Experience with social media platforms, copy writing, proofing and editing for advertising, website conversion content, and video production.
• In-depth knowledge of how to create compelling content to interest target demographics.
• Effectively plan, monitor and complete detailed projects.
• Ability to interview members and employees to create compelling stories in both video and written form.
• Be a strong team player with excellent attention to detail.

A Day in the life of a Content Specialist

• At 8 am, you login to your Solarity laptop to check out what's new. Cool! The new product is nearly ready for launch.
• You sip a cup of coffee and brainstorm several value propositions in preparation for the Marketing Team huddle at 9 am.
• Team discussion of product launch places a few deliverables on your plate : landing page content for website; staff talking points about the new product;

a script for an explainer video and a sprinkling of social media posts.

• You login to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and draft two emails that will be used for an A / B test of subject lines and compelling calls to action.
• After lunch you ponder two themes you will propose to the team for your content plan for next month. You'll write two SEO posts for the member newsletter and website and line up video interviews with two members who have agreed to tell their story about financing their RV with Solarity.
• In the afternoon, it's your turn to freshen content on the website. You login to SiteFinity CMS and update language about Solarity's home loan products.

Your new headline is clever and fun.

It was a good day. You are looking forward to directing the video shoot for the member interviews next month. You log off and realize next month has a federal holiday on Monday;

it'll be a three-day weekend!
