Kids Play International is a small but mighty nonprofit looking for a highly motivated Director of Development (DofD) who will play a key role in our efforts to develop, cultivate, steward, and retain a network of high-net-worth donors and prospects, and execute our Sponsor a Player giving program.
The DofD will build and manage a portfolio with the aim of growing our individual giving four-fold over the next four years.
This position will directly interface with potential and current donors.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Development sector and a passion to promote sport for social change globally.
The candidate will have worked in and lead a portfolio of major donors and have a deep understanding of the individual philanthropy landscape.
In addition to stewardship and growth with existing donors, they will be responsible for identifying and developing a robust portfolio of prospects and new donors across the US.
They will possess exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and persuasive communication skills . This candidate will be resilient and comfortable with managing competing priorities that come with rapid and ambitious organizational growth.
They will have the drive and prioritization skills necessary to proactively drive forward high-quality work independently and collaboratively.
They will have an unwavering commitment to sport and social change, gender equality, and mental health, and understand how to weave these values into their communication and advocacy with stakeholders in the communities Kids Play serves in Rwanda, Cambodia, and the United States.

This position will report to and work closely with the Founder and President and work in close collaboration with the Board of Directors and other executive leadership members.
