National Grid's Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry.

Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we'll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one - putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.

Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US.

Following Orientation, you'll begin working in the full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

Information Technology and Digital Graduate Rotations.

Graduates in our IT & Digital team will take part in an 18-month exploration. Your first 6-months will be in the role outlined below and you will return to this role following two broadening 6-month placements designed to provide you a breadth of experience within your functional area and accelerate your progression at National Grid.

These placements will provide you with the opportunity to solve complex problems and focus on growth that will transform the energy sector as we know it.

To support key activities on technology project delivery including investment proposal development, sanctioning and key hand-offs in response to specific business requirements.

About the Position.

As an Associate Analyst, you will support project deliverables for global Service Now. You will have the opportunity to work with the business and help bridge gaps between IT design and business functionality.

What You'll Do.

You will have the opportunity to be solution-oriented, collaborative, and deliver impactful projects!

You will :

  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports, visualizations, and findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of databases and data systems.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of market research initiatives.

What You'll Need.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management / Administration, Project Management or related from an accredited institution.
  • Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025.
  • Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025.
  • Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy.
  • Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization).

Salary Range

Waltham, Massachusetts $66,000 - $78,000 a year.

Syracuse, New York $59,000 - $69,000 a year.

Please note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

As a National Grid employee, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA).

As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
