Albright College is seeking applications for Assistant Director of Admission. The Assistant Director of Admission is responsible for a full range of recruiting and marketing activities supporting the daily operation of the Admission Office.

The individual will be responsible for management of a Mid-Atlantic region travel territory in the recruitment of prospective students.

This includes counseling and interviewing, as well as travel and a number of specialty tasks, assigned by the Director of Admission, that could include : scholarship management, technology and social media skills, content writing, relational building with on-campus and off-campus groups.

Requires experience within admission, excellent communication skills along with a great deal of organizational ability. Evening and weekend work will be required.

This is an in-person position with the possibility of occasional work from home as the recruitment schedules allows. Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to enhancing equity and inclusion within the staff and the team and across a culturally diverse campus while celebrating people of all statuses and identities.

This commitment must shine through all job functions including but not limited to, recruitment of prospective students, staff training, and implementation of project areas and programs.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Albright, the academic and extracurricular programs and articulate these messages to prospective students, families, guidance counselors and the community
  • Build and cultivate relationships with and assist prospective students throughout all phases of the enrollment process, including recruitment and outreach in a designated territory in the Mid-Atlantic region in order to meet stated goal
  • Utilize the mediums of text, email, phone calls and virtual meetings to build relationships and manage student population through the admission stages of prospect to matriculation.
  • Review and read applications making admission and scholarship decisions and recommendations.
  • Assist in the secondary review and approval process for undergraduate admission applications and scholarship awarding.
  • Represent Albright College at high schools, college fairs, interviews and other off-campus event programs.
  • Champion the increased use and analyze effectiveness of the Albright Admission office social media efforts, including the partnership with contracted social media marketing firms.
  • Acts as the Tuition Exchange Liaison Officer to manage import applications to the college.
  • Advocate and investigate the expansion of SLATE use, including the set up of Tasks and Groups
  • Joins a PACAC committee in order to advance the profile of the college and gain professional experience outside of the Albright Admission Office.
  • Represent the Admission Office at on and off campus meetings, including academic departments.
  • Must exercise good judgment, discretion, and integrity while working collegially with faculty, students, staff, and alumni
  • Provide other necessary assistance in order to meet the department’s enrollment plan and the College’s strategic agenda.
  • Additional duties as assigned, which may include communication development, outreach and awareness initiatives, and leadership in a variety of recruitment related areas regarding targeted recruitment efforts towards select groups of students, and special projects.

Qualifications / Prerequisites :

  • COMMUNICATION Ability to communicate well and work within a team.Ability to write and communicate with outside constituencies.
  • SKILLS Demonstrated commitment to building an inclusive and equitable Albright community, as described in Albright College’s Inclusivity and Equity Statement.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Must be available to travel extensively and work nights and weekends when necessary.

Demonstrated ability to interact with prospective students and their families, as well as employee groups within the College and external constituencies.

Ability to maintain confidentiality with respect to data, correspondence, reports and other information.Demonstrated working knowledge of computers and social media.

Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills.

  • EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree required.
  • LICENSES Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
