Description :
Waypoint’s client is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytic Engineers, with Apache or Confluent Kafka experience, to become productive team members assisting with the design, build, deployment, and use of large-scale, highly performant data environments for the US Government and Commercial Companies.

Candidates with Elastic experience and Elastic certifications should apply.
Responsibilities :
- Systems Engineering and Administration of the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana / Beats) to include Elastic Cloud, Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) and Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK).
- Assisting with Elastic Stack cluster architecture, design, and deployment.
- Monitoring and maintaining stack and infrastructure performance for on prem deployments and cloud environments.
- Facilitating the integration of data sources and applications.
- Software design as it relates to Elasticsearch deployments, distributed computing, and system architecture.
- Developing Automation and Orchestration to deploy and maintain the Elastic Stack in a repeatable and scalable fashion.
- Working with Ingest and Architecture teams to create deployment roles for all components of the Elastic Stack.
- Working in the client’s team environment.
- Comfortable working with a highly distributed team.
Requirements :
- Excel at working directly with clients to gather, prioritize, plan, and execute solutions to customer business requirements as it relates to Elastic Technologies.
- Hands on experience with automating Elastic Stack features. Certifications in Elastic.
- Hands on experience with large distributed systems from an architecture and development perspective.
- Proficient working from the Linux command line.
- Proficient in scripting using JavaScript, Golang, Painless, Python or Bash.
- Desired experience with ETL and data indexing concepts.
- Desired experience with one or more of the Public Cloud Providers, such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Desired experience with one or more Containerization solutions such as Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker.
- Desired experience with one or more Visualization tools such as Kibana, Grafana or Jupyter.
