The Opportunity : MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting temporary opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MaineGeneral Health system.
The Per Diem Seasonal "Traveler" RN works up to 3 shifts per week, based on the current needs of the Behavioral Health unit, with the opportunity to stay per diem with MaineGeneral when the assignment is completed.
Schedule and shift can change every 6 weeks.* Differentials comparable to traveler pay* Opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art medical centerThis is a temporary, per diem position open to external candidates only.
MaineGeneral re-hires within 6 months are not eligible. Night shift availability is required.Based on departmental need, the Seasonal 'Traveler' is able to stay in this enhanced role for up to 1 year.
At that time, you will have the opportunity to stay per diem with MaineGeneral in a permanent staff RN capacity.The Work : * Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.* Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
