Solve IT Strategies is looking for a Sr Staff Accountant . This role is Hybrid : 6 times / month on site. Bolingbrook, IL
The Main Responsibilities of a person are :
- Actively participating in period, quarter, and year-end accounting close
- Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and work-papers.
- Collaborating with business partners to gather information supporting accruals and adjustments.
- Analyzing accounting results, investigating variances, and documenting findings.
- Supporting the financial reporting process and communication of results.
- Ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Providing support for budget and forecast preparation.
- Performing other routine and non-routine functions as assigned by management.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA required.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Retail or public accounting experience preferred.
- Solid analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge
- Understanding of financial processes and internal controls
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates leadership ability and potential.
- Able to work independently, as well as with a group.
- Dedicated and detail oriented.
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach.
- Proficient in Excel and Word, SAP knowledge is a plus.
