- Understand dynamics and key business priorities of client groups to provide support to business leaders on effectively managing and leading their organizations.
- Act as a motivator of change. Support organizational change management activities to drive culture change and team effectiveness strategies.
- Develops robust talent management plans to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
- Helps guide and partner with Center of Excellence (COE) owners in the shaping of appropriate and innovative HR solutions.
- Coach managers and teams to successfully manage all cyclical performance management processes (talent management, annual reviews, merit planning).
- Ability to understand, use and identify trends in data and analytics to help drive decisions.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with the legal department as needed / required.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of programs and retention efforts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or another relevant program is required.
- 5+ years of demonstrated success as a Human Resource Business Partner or Generalist is required.
- Knowledge of the Life Sciences industry and proficiency in Workday are preferred.
