Human Resources Business Partner

  • Understand dynamics and key business priorities of client groups to provide support to business leaders on effectively managing and leading their organizations.
  • Act as a motivator of change. Support organizational change management activities to drive culture change and team effectiveness strategies.
  • Develops robust talent management plans to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
  • Helps guide and partner with Center of Excellence (COE) owners in the shaping of appropriate and innovative HR solutions.
  • Coach managers and teams to successfully manage all cyclical performance management processes (talent management, annual reviews, merit planning).
  • Ability to understand, use and identify trends in data and analytics to help drive decisions.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Partners with the legal department as needed / required.

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of programs and retention efforts.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or another relevant program is required.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success as a Human Resource Business Partner or Generalist is required.
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences industry and proficiency in Workday are preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Onsite at facility 3 days per week.
  • Occasional travel.
  • Must be able to accommodate occasional after hours.
