JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for providing financial information, tools and analysis to support the evaluation of business opportunities, effective financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and decision support as well as adequate internal control processes and driving process improvements.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual business plan preparation for assigned business.
- Analyze financial performance and present findings to manager.
- Identify, lead or participate in the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze, validate and communicate financial results monthly.
- Provide actionable information and analysis to drive decision making.
- Participates in designing and implementing financial processes, controls, and enabling systems which will be critical to the future growth of the business.
- Provide insightful analysis, with an external perspective, which considers risks and options.
- Mentor and teach less experienced members of the finance team.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- 5 years’ financial analyst experience.
- Prior general accounting, manufacturing finance, and / or audit / compliance experience.
- Prior profitability analysis (business, product, and customer), budgeting, financial analysis, profitability and expense analysis and control experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
- MBA.
- Prior ERP experience (Oracle, SAP).
- Financial analyst experience with a medium to large, highly complex company.
- Building materials industry experience.

- Communication : Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders directly in person or via electronic communication.
- Visual Acuity : Ability to read printed and electronic documents, as well as distinguish colors, for tasks such as proofreading and reviewing documents.
- Multitasking : The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively, which may require mental agility and adaptability.
