Job Title : QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Reports to : PRODUCTION CONTROL MANAGER (PCM)
Job Summary : this role ensures that company and customer quality standards are being met. Work will be done under the supervision of the PCM where they conduct quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results.
Job Responsibilities :
- Reviewing and revising testing procedures.
- Conduct timely and accurate inspection and analysis of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products in accordance with inspection procedures.
- Performing manual and automated quality checks.
- Maintain the working status of laboratory instruments, and ensure the use, storage, and labeling of reagents.
- Carefully and thoroughly fill in the original inspection records, inspection results, and submit documents timely.
- Classify, organize, label, and store inspection samples and records.
- Adhere to safety and quality regulations.
- Indepth understanding of laboratory safety and hygiene management.
- Reporting safety and quality infringements to the PCM.
- Calibrating and cleaning testing equipment.
- Responsible for incoming material inspection, production process quality inspection, delivery inspection, etc., to ensure that the whole process of product quality meets the process inspection requirements.
- Advising on procedures to improve production efficiency.
Essential Skills / Education :
- Background in chemical use and any laboratory experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Have received training or certification in quality ISO9001 / IATF16949
- At least 1 year experience working in Quality Mgt
- Excellent computer skills
- Good communication skills with ability to communicate at all management levels
- Demonstrated ability to think conceptually with a real commitment to change and continuous improvement.
- Major in Chemistry or have working experience in Chemical Inspection
- Experience in testing in factory / testing room is preferred
- Be able to adapt to working different shifts.
Work Environment :
We are a Battery manufacturing company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work with various chemicals and near large machinery and equipment daily, the employee will be exposed to a variety of Health and Safety hazard and will be required to ALWAYS adhere to all Health and Safety rules and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical Demands :
The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must be able to frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
