Media Relations :
- Corporate Communications Representative develops and enhances relations with electronic and print media
- Serve as a key spokesperson for the company after hours and during emergency operations center activations.
- The bulk of work is from : pm to : am and on weekends
Strategic Communications :
- Develop and implement strategic media direction to advance the programs, policies, positions, and contributions.
- Advocate and maintain a strong customer focus
- Coordinate closely with numerous other customer-facing organizations throughout the company
- Create, draft, and edit all manner of written communications, , releases, white papers, briefings, talking points, etc.
Issues Management :
- Develop expertise in assigned issues
- Independently drive coverage and messaging around assigned issues
- Arrange media coverage / briefings for officer visits, editorial boards, and other external communications interactions
- Corporate Communications Representative provides media training, research, and other services the External Communications Dept. offers
Emergency Response :
Play a key role in leading emergency response efforts, including
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience in one of the following areas preferred : Media relations, emergency response, utility operations
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related / or relevant experience
Desired Qualifications :
- Experience in media relations or emergency response
- Experience as a Reporter or Journalist
- Experience in a Public Relations Agency

- This is a fully remote position
