About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Diagnostic Imaging Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Evenings and nights, 36-40 hours per week based on departmental needs Guaranteed Hours : 36 Experience : Minimum two years of clinical imaging experience required;
experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital preferred. Prior travel experience highly preferred.
License : Must hold appropriate state radiological license Certifications : ARRT Certification, BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association Must-Have : Traveler must have a permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of the work location.
Job Description : Perform a wide variety of imaging exams on patients of different age groups, including adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and pediatrics.
- Utilize a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.- Make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance and repairs.- Participate in quality assurance activities and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
- Be flexible to float to units working with children up to 1 year of age and / or based on competency skills and experience.
- Be prepared for shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on staffing needs and / or different locations within the organization.
