Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Department of Information Technology offers the Bachelor of Applied and the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, Master of Science in Information Technology, an IT minor, serval graduate certificates, offer courses in two interdisciplinary degrees in BS and MS Cybersecurity, and participates in the Ph.
D. in Computer Science in the college. There are 700+ students majoring in IT undergraduate programs and 700+ graduate students in IT and Cybersecurity graduate programs.
The department has 20+ full-time faculty and staff. The department has active research in areas including AI, Cybersecurity, IoT, Smart Health, Data Analytics and Visualization, Computer Networking, and Bioinformatics.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions as Lecturer of Information Technology in the Department of Information Technology with a preferred start date of January 2025.
These are nine-month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and / or graduate courses in information technology in various modalities including online, hybrid or face-to-face as per department need.
- Service to Dept / College / University / professional community is expected.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
To teach undergraduate courses :
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a discipline related to information technology or a closely related discipline is required.
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.
To teach graduate courses :
A Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in information technology or a related discipline is required.
Required degree must be earned by start date.
