January 2, 2025 Job Purpose Learn and adopt the Stand Strong Fencing structured management process and complete the required training.

The General Manager's role is to direct and manage our organization's business activities and develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.

Additionally, the General Manager will identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads and referrals. The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities.

Job focus will be to learn and manage company policies, direct activities towards long term goals and profitability, and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for customer service, profitability, revenue, and budgets.

Proficiently build, develop, and lead a professional team that completes day-to-day activities to our standards. Primary Responsibilities Professionally represent Stand Strong Fencing.

Community involvement and network building. Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, industry, and process knowledge in relevant product areas.

Study and learn current marketplace, competitor, and industry trends to identify new business and marketing opportunities and present them to the Owner.

Overseeing daily business operations of the business (Material Procurement, Subcontractor Procurement, Installations, Production, and Office / Administrative) Maintain and manage inventory levels.

Developing and implementing growth strategies (to include managing budgets, improving revenue, and improving profitability).

Analyze business results based on Key Performance Indicator reporting. Complete vehicle inspections to comply with maintenance requirements.

Oversee the continued training of managers and staff. Evaluating the performance and productivity of direct reports and overseeing the performance and productivity of indirect reports.

Maintain professionalism of all employees and respond immediately to employee issues and customer needs. Interact with customers and co-workers pleasantly and professionally.

Address potential client queries in a timely and professional manner. Learn and record primary data, records, HR documents, tasks, and any other relevant information.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Owner. Skills and Experience Skills : Speaking : Talking to other to convey information effectively.

Active listening : Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and do not interrupt at inappropriate times.

Sales : Running and overseeing a sales-based organization. Active Learning : Understanding new information's implications for current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Persuasion : Persuading others to change their minds or behaviors. Negotiation : Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.

Judgment and Decision Making : Managing one’s own time and the time of others. Experience & Requirements : 5+ years of proven experience in a management role within the construction, fencing, or related industry.

Demonstrated experience in operations management, including overseeing project timelines, managing teams, and handling logistics.

Strong sales and business development background, with a record of meeting revenue targets and expanding market reach. Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control to ensure profitable operations.

Hands-on experience in staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a positive work culture.

Familiarity with contract negotiations, customer service, and conflict resolution in a client-focused environment. Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices within the fencing or construction industry.

Proven ability to implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall business performance. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and vendors.

Proficiency in using relevant business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software).

Valid driver’s license. Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent required A bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to : Engage in organic marketing tactics and / or field work Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Capable of twisting, using hands to handle objects, and reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to push, pull, climb, or balance as needed.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must have the ability to talk and hear clearly in various work environments. Work outside in elements and varying seasons Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 100 lbs or more.
