TEAM AND STRUCTURE
Over the past few years Acrisure has expanded internationally with a small dedicated professional team based out of Grand Rapids.
The international expansion has been both organic and through M&A and there is a significant pipeline of acquisitions expected to close in the foreseeable future.
The International finance team has now reached a point where an additional proactive professional Senior Accountant is required to support the growing portfolio of businesses.
The role would require candidates to aid in the overall accuracy and integrity of the agency partners’ financial statements.
The role is comprised of structured and unstructured weekly, monthly and quarterly responsibilities with the assistance of the Manager.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities :
Accurately complete month-end duties including, trial balances, journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
Assist Manager with monthly reports & month-end review including journal entries and reconciliations.
Assist in data compilation for statutory tax filings and quarterly / annual corporate tax filings.
Contribute to team effort by conducting ad hoc financial projects, as needed.
Manage workload to complete all activities accurately and within established timeframes and month-end deadlines.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects from start to finish.
Adaptable to learn team processes independently.
Review processes to determine the tasks needed & timeframe to complete.
Handle larger volume & complex processes or tasks for team & Agency Partners.
Ability to learn all functional areas of the team.
Ability to clean up & research issues as needed or on regular basis.
Take initiative to improve processes & team responsibilities.
Adhere to all systems, procedures, and insurance company regulations.
Research and post GAAP conversion entries as required i.e. IFRS to US GAAP entries
Build and maintain relationships with Agency Partners and Corporate Accounting team members

INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION & SKILL SET
Must be able to work on-site at Acrisure’s Grand Rapids, MI Studio Park location at least three days per week on a rotation.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required (CPA preferred, not required)
3- 5 years progressive work experience in the accounting field is required
Technology Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Prior experience working with different ERP systems is required.
Experience with Workday ERP and Alteryx (preferred but not required)
Interpersonal Skills :
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members.

Technical Accounting Skills :
Knowledge of Financial Statement Consolidations (preferred but not required)
Proficient US GAAP is required.
Knowledge of IFRS and Foreign Currency Translation (preferred but not required)

Pay Details :
Annual Salary : $1 - $10
