What You Will Be Doing
- Assess and identify tax compliance and consulting needs of the client
- Review complex tax returns : individual (1040), estate (1041) and some partnership (1065) tax returns
- Review complex tax computations, workpapers, and tax entries
- Proactively identify new and additional service opportunities and offer recommendations
- Oversee the delegation of tasks to appropriate members of the PCS team
- Responsible for signing tax returns
- Manage year-end planning and quarterly tax estimates
- Oversee processes addressing IRS or State Taxing Authority notices
- Delegate and oversee the initial preparation and set-up of client files
- Research tax laws and offer guidance on complex tax technical issues
What You Need for this Position
- At least 5+ yrs of Public accounting experience
- At least 2+ yrs of Management experience
- Active CPA license
- Extensive 1040 / 1041 experience
- Experience with 1065 is a plus
