Our client is seeking a UX / UI Designer to join their team hybrid 1-2 days / week in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a unique, full-time opportunity for a junior-level designer to take ownership of the entire design process from initial research to final implementation.
Our client is a nonprofit organization that recovers surplus food from businesses and distributes it to organizations serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in UX / UI design, preferably with both web and mobile applications
- Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design software
- Strong portfolio showcasing both visual design and process-oriented projects. Experience with SaaS platforms and user research is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently as the sole designer, with a proactive approach to gathering and incorporating user feedback
- Experience with accessibility standards and creating inclusive designs
What You Will Be Doing
- Design and Prototyping : Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for web, iOS, and Android platforms
- UX Research : Conduct user research and discovery sessions to gather insights and feedback from users. This includes facilitating user sessions and analyzing user feedback to inform design decisions
- Cross-Platform Design : Ensure consistent and user-friendly designs across web and mobile applications, including operations, supply chain, and logistics management tools
- Accessibility : Design with accessibility standards in mind to ensure inclusivity
- Collaboration : Work closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and business goals, creating designs that align with both
