Electrical Equipment Company (EECO) is an expert in industrial automation and electric motor solutions, with the benefit of full line electrical distribution.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance / Accounting Team.

Position Summary :

The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions as well as aiding in the preparation of the Company's financial statements.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Complete month end close process, including reconciling bank accounts and GL accounts and preparing journal entries.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Support payroll and benefits plans (401k, 409a).
  • Support and maintain shareholder records.
  • Continuously improve work procedures and processes, including documentation, process mapping and efficiency improvements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience using ERP systems, P21 preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
