Assist the Project Management team with project management programs, milestone tracking, schedule development, monitoring critical path activities, site visit scheduling, assisting with cost control measures and budget adherence, design development and pre-construction activities and planning, quality control, and, punchlist and project closeout.
Background in construction, construction administration, or related industry is valued.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assistance with Tracking the Program Milestones for Retail Projects and providing Project Critical feedback to Sr PM’s and PM’s in a timely manner
- Vendor Management Assistance correlating Vendor Proposals against plans with consultation with PM’s ensuring accuracy and comprehensive scope
- Review of Vendor and GC Submittals and Shop Drawings as may be required verifying against Design Standards and Construction Documents for accuracy and compliance, as well as coordinating concurrent reviews by the A / E Team.
Act as liaison with Procurement Team and required for timely issuance of PO’s and tracking deliveries and / or installations to meet Critical Path Schedule.
- Organizing Design Standards for Common accessibility and use thru adopted standard protocols and PM software / file sharing.
- Assisting Sr PM / PM as well as Operations with problematic R&M where D&C’s guidance needed
- Spearheading Midterm Refurbishments where scope can be defined as limited and guidance can still be provided by a Sr PM for monitoring execution and relationships with Operations and Airport Client
- Assist in Project Closeouts gathering As Builts from Contractors and Architects, requesting and reporting final capex costs for PM / Sr PM and Director to review.
Ensuring comprehensive nature of the As Builts, O&M Manuals, Cost Certifications and / or any other required Project Closeout Items and upload to internal document sharing system as well as ensuring conveyance to Airport clients.
- Entering GR Approvals in SAP with direction from PM / Sr PM for Projects with numerous Invoices requiring approvals
- Assist as may be requested I the tracking use, location, needs and availabilities of Temporary Kiosk units across all platforms
- As can be accommodated from above list of responsibilities, take full ownership of one or more Stores in a New Project under the oversight of the designated PM / Sr PM.
This will enhance growth for this candidate as they move forward.
- Assist Director in Establishing initial Project Kickoff Calls / Meetings and assembling and distributing appropriate documents and data
- Coordinate IT and LP provisions within Retail Stores, in conjunction with PM / Sr PM and Design Team
- Assist in Tracking Plan Reviews thru Airports and Permitting Agencies
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
- 2-year degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Retail and Airport Experience preferred, with Retail Project Experience, also highly valued.
- Minimum 2-4 years combined construction-related experience or educational training
