JOB SUMMARY

Serves as the liaison for supply chain activities which require clinical input, independently. Serves as a resource to peers on projects that require clinical evaluation or input.

Vanderbilt Health Supply Chain Solutions achieves clinical integration in supply chain to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve accuracy of scheduling and delivery of medical supplies.

Position Shift :

40 hrs / wk; 8 am - 5 pm

Mon - Fri; no weekends or holidays

Opportunity to work remotely some days

Relocation stipend offered based on mileage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Affects and influences decisions about new technology and product requests from clinical departments.
  • Serve as clinical liaison for procurement decision making, value analysis, conversion to new technology / products, and identification of clinical issues related to technology and medical products.
  • Collaborates with staff regarding technology / product trials, ordering, timelines, communication, and education until new

technology / products are in place for the end user.

  • Assists with identification of appropriate substitute / product replacement as needed.
  • Assists with implementation of strategic goals and objectives.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Sourcing (Novice) : Discovering qualified candidates through a network of talent.
  • Communication (Advanced) : Clearly, effectively and respectfully communicates to employees or customers.
  • Purchasing (Intermediate) : Understands the concepts behind supplier relations and supply chain management. Handles supplier-related activities, requests for pricing, and purchases of goods and services while ensuring appropriate costs, schedules, quality, deliveries, terms, and conditions.
  • Clinical Knowledge (Intermediate) : Knowledge of patient care including patient assessment and treatment, care planning, patient education and evidence based practice.

Understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
