SLP or SLPA) Speech Language Pathologist (K-8) Full or Part Time With Benefits - Duarte, CA Area
Key Responsibilities :
For SLP :
- Perform detailed assessments to identify and diagnose speech, language, and communication challenges in students
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in groups, to support students communication development
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations to optimize student outcomes
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support network for students
For SLPA :
- Assist the SLP by conducting therapy sessions based on established treatment plans
- Work with students individually or in small groups, focusing on achieving specific communication goals
- Document and monitor student progress, providing regular updates to the SLP
- Prepare and adapt therapy materials to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate closely with the SLP, teachers, and families to ensure consistent support for students' development
Qualifications :
- For SLP : Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license
- For SLPA : Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is required
- Experience in a school environment is preferred for both roles
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential
- A deep commitment to helping students achieve their full communication potential is crucial
