Qualifications :

  • A BSEE / BSCS and / or a minimum of 3 years of relevant LTE RF Design experience.
  • 5+ years overall in wireless, focusing on Design / Optimization or Operations roles, including RF support for Site Construction and site Acquisition teams.

Equivalent degree and experience will be considered in place of BSEE / BSCS.

  • Expertise in Cellular / Mobile Technology in 4G / 5G and NR Theory with practical experience.
  • Proficiency with macro and small cell nominal and final RF designs including development, operations, RF KPIs, and maintenance of RF link budgets for 3GPP technologies.
  • Complete expertise in configuring, calibrating, utilizing and processing data from various LTE designs and optimization equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with at least two common industry propagation / planning tools (like Planet or Atoll) and experience with model calibrations.
  • Proficiency in drive test data post-processing , map generation, frequency planning, interference matrix analysis and site database maintenance, using Windcatcher / Actix / Accuver.
  • Comprehension of equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators, along with experience performing inter-modulation and other external interference analysis.

Responsibilities :

  • Part of a Radio Frequency team based out of Denver, responsible for setting up guidelines, plans, and manage / monitor / optimize.
  • This role will work with other local cross functional teams within the market. Perform RF design tasks associated with building standalone 5G broadband network in the US.

Optimize the end-to-end RF design, propagation modeling and prediction, for deployment of Macro Cell deployment. Identify equipment and power configurations.

Collaborate with eNB / RAN and UE teams on RF solutions, including site-specific modifications to RF link budgets, to meet operational requirements.

Conduct site candidate evaluation and selection, including on-site assessments. Collaborate with RF Management to define design criteria, establish link budgets, and conduct traffic analysis necessary for network design.

Update existing performance parameters for continuous improvements as needed. Manage projects / processes, working independently with little or no assistance from supervisors or peers.

Mentor and assess the work of lower level professionals.
