Position Overview
The Lacy School of Business at Butler University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Accounting.
We are especially interested in applicants with a strong focus on Auditing. The position start date is August 2024, and the standard teaching load is nine credit hours per semester with release time made available based on research productivity.
A willingness and ability to teach online is also expected. We welcome applicants with prior experience to apply.
Required Qualifications
Must have Ph.D. or will have one completed by August 2024
Preferred Qualifications
Strong focus in Auditing but also able to teach Information Systems and / or Financial Accounting

Preliminary interviews for this position will be conducted via Zoom beginning in late January, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.

The Accounting program at LSB is outstanding. The successful candidate will contribute to an undergraduate and the Master’s program whose graduates are in high demand by both Big Four and regional accounting firms as well as the industry.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or be near completion and must provide evidence that they will be excellent teachers, committed to working with a diverse population of students.
They must also show that they will be productive researchers and display an interest in vigorous interaction with the business community.
