Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Party Chief for a direct placement position with extensive knowledge in general land surveying and construction staking.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in deploying critical thinking and technical skills, effectively communicating with team members and supervisors, and consistently projecting a professional persona to the public and clientele.
Technical Responsibilities :
- Perform high-rise concrete and steel surveying.
- Supervise a field survey crew conducting preliminary, construction, property, topographic, hydrographic, and monumentation surveys.
- Assist in training field personnel for survey tasks.
- Capture and analyze survey data.
- Utilize Robotic Total Stations, GPS / RTK, and Digital Levels; keep detailed field notes; make sketches and complex calculations;
plot profiles and cross-sections.
- Read, interpret, and reconcile plans and specifications; perform field calculations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in construction plans and surveys.
- Communicate information and verify data accurately.
- Establish and maintain communication with engineers, contractors, inspectors, property owners, and the public.
- Plan, assign, direct, review, and evaluate the daily activities of assigned staff.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Deploy remotely and transfer data using tablets / phones.
Education / Experience :
- 5-10 years’ experience as a survey party chief.
- Clear driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Experience with Trimble Survey instruments is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions :
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.

- Travel using company-provided vehicle and / or commercial aircraft to offices, jobsites, client meetings, etc.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Travel out of and in-state.
- Work remotely in the field.
