What You'll Do :

As a Senior Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Manager, America Region (Sr HSES Manager, Americas Region), you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by providing transformational governance and support in the region to achieve Health, Safety, Environmental, & Security (HSES) objectives and best in class performance in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

This is a skilled professional who has experience managing a team of subject matter experts in the health, safety, environment, and site security fields.

The Sr HSES Manager, Americas Region is responsible for supporting the implementation of corporate programs, initiatives, and management systems in the region in support of the broader organization.

In addition, the Sr HSES Manager, Americas Region will be leading a team of subject matter experts in providing transformational strategic and tactical advice, assistance, and support to the Lubrizol facilities located in the Americas region (i.

e. North America and South America). The team is responsible for providing direct support to assure ongoing safe operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and corporate policies and standards while striving for continuous improvement and industry best-practices in support of One Lubrizol.

The Sr HSES Manager, Americas Region can be located anywhere in the Americas region where we operate a Lubrizol facility.

What We're Looking For :

• Create and implement the Americas regional HSES plan, progress path, main goals, and management system, including KPI management, to align with corporate goals and objectives.
• Provided strategic and tactical leadership and management for the Americas region Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) team.
• Establish priorities and implement Lubrizol’s HSES policies and standards for production sites and laboratory facilities in the Americas region.
• Support the implementation and assurance of corporate programs and standards at the facilities within the region.
• Support the develop of new standards and tools at the corporate level for implementation in the regions and facilities.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of management systems and certifications at the facilities.
• Represent the region and communicate sites’ needs and expectations to corporate stakeholders.
• Assure compliance with applicable regional regulations as well as the corporate policies and standards at the facilities.
• Support project implementation across all functional areas of HSES as needed.
• Support the corporate sustainability efforts in accordance with the corporate strategy and operational capabilities.

Skills That Make a Difference :

• B.S. Degree Engineering, Safety or related.
• 15+ years of experience in HSES, chemical plant management, process safety, engineering or related.
• Must be able to travel throughout North America and South America approximately 20%.
• Must have knowledge of HSES regulations and industry standards.
• Experience in a chemical / petrochemical company.
• Experience in managing a professional level team; remote experience and regional management experience is a strong plus.
• Strong organization and influencing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work successfully with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
