Job Details
- Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities.
- The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9 / 9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11 / 30).
- IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a bill rate bump per hour.
- MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS.
- TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
- If candidates have IN / Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package they are eligible to apply.
- First Time Travelers Accepted.
- Shift Requirements : 4x12 or 3x12.
- Charge coverage : Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
- Skillset Preferences : Central line experience, post-op patient assessments, experience with drains (foleys, JP drains, NG tubes).
- Floating Requirements : Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
- Staffing Ratios : 1 : 5-6 depending on staffing.
