The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead the US receivables department and get involved in many other front-end client onboarding related initiatives.
Sitting as a key stakeholder of the US finance function you’ll report into the US VP of Finance and manage a team.
As the primary face of our global organization business critical collection efforts in the US you will be expected to channel much of your energy around making billing and subsequent collections more efficient.
This will include building strong external relationships, pushing forward key internal projects to streamline processes and to accurately forecast when collections will be made.
You will also collaborate closely with our central finance function in our London headquarters on a near daily basis to report on key business metrics.
As an Accounts Receivable Manager you’ll have the chance to :

- Mentor and lead a team of junior members who are hungry to continue to learn and grow in their careers and responsibilities.
- Give strategic direction to the function to ensure that the team is pushing toward like goals and in an efficient manner.
- Day to Day Expectations
- Maintain and own the MiQ US receivables listing. This includes managing the collection efforts around all debts due while layering on lens to focus on particularly risky items.
- Foster external relationships with key client payables / media clearing departments to further enhance collections and information flow.
- Collaborate with key central UK staff to align with global initiatives around collections.
- Build out a strong process for client onboarding (credit checks, billing terms, etc.), utilizing structures in place but making them stronger.
- Manage the cash forecasting function to fine tune to ensure we are able to accurately forecast collections for many months into the future.
- Assist with month end close items with focus on billing and its accuracy.
- Manage external collections insurance.
- Strive to stay up to date with the industry and market to ensure we are considering cutting edge solutions to our problems.
- Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with other functional areas within the finance team as well as other departments across the organization to get things done.
- Work with commercial teams to understand deal terms and minimize risk of non-collection.
- Working with internal stakeholders, building relationships, and working across differences to find solutions.
- Communication
- Perform ad hoc analysis as required.
- Maintain an active line of communication with peers and managers for transparency and to manage timelines of deliverables.
- Crisp and clear communication to external partners / clients or internal stakeholders; flexing communication style to persuade others and influence positive outcomes

- Identify opportunities to automate current processes and implement effective controls to drive efficiency.

What you’ll bring
- Strong analytical knowledge and a minimum of 6 years of experience, some experience in receivables required
- Experience with managing a team required
- Advanced MS Excel skills required
- Experience with Workday, Thoughtspot, Sidetrade is a plus
- Ability to adapt to new systems and processes to enhance reporting and maximize utilization of resources
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for forecasting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to handle numerous priorities in a dynamic and growing environment

Pay Transparency
For individuals assigned and / or hired to work in New York City, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;
experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $110,000-$125,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York City as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
Regardless of location, candidates can expect during the first few conversations with MiQ’s Talent team and Hiring Managers to share any approved budget and details on our competitive bonus and commission packages.
