The CIS Lab scientist role will serve as a researcher performing basic research in the fields of cryptography and theoretical computer science.
The incumbent will perform research works including but not limited to : writing papers for academic journals and international conferences, presentations, mentoring interns and postdocs, and patent applications.
Responsibilities
- Write papers for academic journals and international conferences
- Give presentations at conferences and workshops
- Mentor internship students and postdoctoral fellows
- Apply for patents with the help of patent attorneys if there are patentable inventions in conference papers
Qualifications and Skills
- PhD in computer science, mathematics, or related areas
- Postdoc experiences for one or two years are preferred
- Strong ability to do a top level of research
- Knowledge about cryptography and computer science as a professional researcher
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to deliver presentations at conferences and workshops
- Ability to mentor younger researchers
