We are working closely with a company located in Cleveland to identify a Sr. SQL Developer . The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex SQL databases to support business applications and reporting.
- Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database triggers to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with data analysts and application developers to support their data needs and ensure seamless integration.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, design, and processes.
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to import, cleanse, and prepare data from various sources.
- Conduct data quality assessments and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
- Support ad hoc data requests, analyses, and reports as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an SQL Developer, with a strong understanding of relational databases and database design.
- Proficient in writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and optimization of SQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes and experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend).
- Familiarity with database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies is a plus.
