Job Summary :
Dutch Miller Kia of Charleston is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our professional and dynamic team.
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical tasks on vehicles including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry located in South Charleston, West Virginia.
This is an individual contributor role offering a competitive compensation of $22 to $35 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct in-depth diagnostic assessments and identify mechanical issues on vehicles
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
- Utilize computerized equipment and tools to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles
- Communicate with customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs
- Complete all work in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high-quality standards
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in the shop
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
- ASE certifications preferred but not required
- Knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
