JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description
Onin Staffing is hiring for Material Handlers for all shifts in Lakeland, FL. This is a great foot-in-the-door opportunity with the chance to be hired on permanently after 90 days, enjoying a set schedule and radically affordable health insurance.
Work Experience
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code
- Restock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucks
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery
- Measure, cut and package material
- Complete Material Movement paperwork
- Open boxes, crates, and other containers
- Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and reports findings
- Assist in counting of physical inventory
- Inspect forklift daily for damages and report findings
- Load and operate forklifts; load trucks for next day deliveries
- Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times
Qualifications
- Forklift experience a plus, but not necessary
- Basic math skills
- Read tape measure
