Overview

A Structural Engineer plays a critical role in the construction and infrastructure development industry. They are responsible for designing and ensuring the structural integrity of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.

This role is essential for ensuring the safety, durability, and functionality of various structures.

Location : Hartsville, SC

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting structural analysis and design for various construction projects.
  • Developing and reviewing construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Utilizing engineering software and tools for structural modeling and analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to address design and construction challenges.
  • Performing on-site inspections and structural assessments during different project phases.
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams and junior engineers.
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility for obtaining licensure.
  • Proven experience in structural design, analysis, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SAP2000.
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in structural assessment, retrofitting, and risk analysis is a plus.
  • Up-to-date understanding of sustainable design principles and practices.
