Our five (5) Louisville Hotels are looking for a top-performing Hotel Area Director of Sales - Louisville Market - Springhill Suites, Hampton Inn Louisville Airport, Tru by Hilton, Hampton Inn Clarksville, and Residence Inn Louisville Airport.

Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? This multi-unit support selling role is looking for a dedicated Hotel Area Director of Sales Springhill Suites, Hampton Inn Louisville Airport, Tru by Hilton, Hampton Inn Clarksville, and Residence Inn Louisville Airport to assist our 5 (five) hotels meet their sales targets.

The Hotel Area Director of Sales will develop our sales strategy and goals, train and assess our sales force, collaborate with sales managers, and ensure that we create a new and recurring business from various hotel sectors.

Our ideal Hotel Area Director of Sales candidate is a leader, innovator, and hard worker who brings 3+ years of hotel sales experience to the role.

Mariott and Hilton's experience is preferred.

Some Key Areas of Responsibility for the Hotel Area Director of Sales include :

  • Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability
  • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and creating an annual sales forecast
  • Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives
  • Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue
  • Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses

Requirements for the Hotel Area Director of Sales include :

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required
  • Proven track record of sales success in lead generation and closing skills
  • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays if needed.
