The Oncology (2N) inpatient unit is located on the 2nd floor of Goshen Hospital. This is a 16 bed unit with patient population primarily with a cancer diagnosis.

The patients may be receiving medical, surgical or radiological interventions for their diagnosis. The unit also houses inpatient hospice patients .

Practices professional nursing at an excellent level within the Goshen nursing model of care keeping a primary focus on the patient / family using the nursing process, culturally appropriate interventions, and holistic principles with attention to continuity of care and patient advocacy, while maintaining a safe environment.

Is a leader in professional nursing both in direct care and in colleague relationships using ethical principles, collaboration, peer review, evidence-based practice, and teaching & learning principles.

Position Accountabilities :

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education : Registered nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license.

Colleagues hired with an associate degree must enter a BSN program within 12 months of hire and earn their BSN from a NLN or CCNE accredited program within 5 years of beginning their BSN degree.

Effective February 2021, Colleagues hired with an associate degree and 10 or more years of nursing experience may be exempt from entering into a BSN program.

• Preferred Experience : One to two years experience related to unit of hire.
• Certifications Required : AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification. ACLS within one year of hire. CHEMO required within two years of hire.
• Certifications Preferred : ONS
